Carolin Giarra

Carolin Giarra is a lecturer and coordinator of the semester ‘Rethinking Tourism Destinations’ and the elective course ‘Managing Tour Operations’ at bachelor’s level. Additionally, she is a researcher at the European Tourism Future Institute (ETFI). Her primary focus lies in sustainable tourism and destination development. She has a specific passion for the African continent and nature-based tourism operations. Carolin holds a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from South Africa and a master’s degree in Leisure, Tourism, and Event Management in the Netherlands.
