Jochem Jansen

As a researcher at the European Tourism Futures Institute (ETFI), Jochem’s primary interest lies in projects related to the societal impact of leisure, tourism, and events. Topics such as sustainability, placemaking, and strategic management have also been focal points in his past work. Jochem studied International Tourism Management (BA) and completed a Master of Arts in International Leisure and Tourism Studies. He has worked for the Leisure and Events Management program (BA) at NHL Stenden University as a senior lecturer, curriculum developer, and program manager. Currently, he is also pursuing a Professional Doctorate (PD) in the field of Futures Studies, with a specific focus on participatory processes in the context of spatial development for leisure and tourism.
